Prax forced me to write a match report, so here we go...

Before the match we had to face some problems concerning the search for a server that should suit both teams well, we pinged the 12M server quite badly, and 12M apparently also had bad pings on ours, so I tried to borrow the =TeC= server, but after some minutes GoKu, the only responding person in the =TeC= chan, told me that he couldn't give the server to me, because he would have had to have the actual admin's permission, though that admin was not on irc, so he didn't give the server to me :P...d'oh...

So we agreed to play the first map, well, on the 12M server, 12M having quite a nice ping advantage I think, and the second map, monkey_l, on our server, giving us a (slight) ping advantage. I don't know details about the action that was going on in the first half of the game, because I was pinging the 12M server with 190+ and couldn't play, but I joined our bc's off chan to listen to our attackers, and I have to say that it was quite amusing. The 12M def definitely gave our offy a hard time, I sometimes had to lower the volume to prevent my ears from being blown off when the lads were in rage and using bad language (not swearing at 12M's well playing def of course), but fortunately our def also played well and stood strong, and so none of the two teams capped, n1 def.

The second map was monkey_l, played on our server, and I was quite confident that we would win this map. We really had a good start, several touches, putting the 12M def under pressure, and finally we capped the first flags. The 12M setup, consisting of a solly at the t-junction, a hwg on the flag, a sentry which was being placed at the top or in front of the flag, depending on the situation, and another solly patrolling the flagroom/water area, again played very well. But our offy was in shape, and so we were able to put the 12M def under constant pressure, and to pull some flags out. As it seemed, the 12M off mostly attacked our t-junction, also touching our flag sometimes, but our very coordinated and strong playing defense was able to cope with their attacks, again n1 def.


In the end, we had capped 6 flags, giving us the win, and 12M had not capped once, it was a fair game, with a sportive and well playing opponent, and we're already looking forward to play you again, 12M, wp all.
